What Type of Person Takes the SAT?

STEM fields make up the majority of SAT test takers. This makes sense, as these majors are more "data-driven," so quantitative metrics like the SAT may prove more useful to admissions as a measure of how they will fair in college than for humanities majors, per se, where it may be more subjective.
